Established in 2002, the Energy and Security Group (ESG) is a small, woman-owned professional services company serving U.S. government, industry, finance, and international development agency clients in the U.S. and overseas.

ESG assists clients to address critical energy and natural resource issues at the nexus of national and international security interests.

ESG focuses on expanding the use of clean energy and environmental technologies and practices to enhance economic performance, promote energy security, improve quality of life, and advance resource sustainability.

On December 10, 2012, USAID awarded the Clean Energy Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract for Non-Critical Priority Countries, a five year contract.  The Energy and Security Group (ESG), a small business, is one of the firms selected for this effort.

In 2012, the Energy and Security Group was designated as one of the BEST workplaces for Commuters by the National Center for Transit Research for meeting the National Standard of Excellence for outstanding commuter benefits.
